It has been announced that the new anime adaptation of Kino’s Journey, based on the novel by Keiichi Sigsawa, will air in Fall 2017. The anime will be titled Kino’s Journey -the Beautiful World- the Animated Series (Kino no Tabi -the Beautiful World- the Animated Series).
A teaser visual was released on 9 June. The visual was drawn by Kouhaku Kuroboshi, who has designed the characters and also illustrates the novels. The anime will be produced by Lerche, with Tomohisa Taguchi announced as the director.
Kino’s Journey depicts the traveler Kino and her partner Hermes as they travel the world. They have one rule: they only stay in each country for 3 days. A manga adaptation is also currently being serialized in Kodansha’s Shonen Magazine Edge, and is being drawn by Iruka Shiomiya. A different comic adaptation is also being serialized in Kadokawa’s Monthly Comic Dengeki Daioh.
