King’s Game (Ou-sama Game), the upcoming Fall 2017 anime that will start airing in October, has announced it’s broadcasting schedule! The first episode will air on 5 October 2017, 23:30 (JST) with new episodes every Thursday. The series has also revealed its main visual and the ending theme song, which will be titled ‘Lost Paradise’. The song can be heard in the long trailer that has been released along with the announcement.
King’s Game is based on a horror novel by Renda Hitori (Art) and Kanazawa Nobuaki (Story) and has sold over 8 million volumes. Nobuaki Kanezawa and his classmates in high school receive a strange message that starts the King’s Game. The anime series will fuse the first book of the series titled King’s Game with the second book King’s Game Climax and thus create a whole new story that will surprise even the fans of the novels. In the main visual, we see the distorted classroom and Nobuaki in the center, just like in the teaser visual. But this time, behind him we can see his classmates surrounding him. Their desperate and lonely faces are already hinting at how harsh and dangerous the game will be.
In the trailer, we can see how their lives were peaceful at first and how they then slowly entered into the fear of the king’s game. In the background we can hear ‘Lost Paradise’, the ending theme song by Pile. Just like the game, the song is fast paced and sounds like it was inspired by rock.
