Makoto Shinkai, director of Kimi no Na wa, one of the most popular anime movies of 2016, recently posted on Twitter pictures of how he worked on the scenario for the movie.
In the following pictures, you can see that the movie is divided into 5 parts. The emotions of the audience are documented on the time axis.

Zooming into the pictures, we can also see the working titles of the movie, such as Yume to Shiriseba (If I knew it was a dream), Kimi no Musubime (Your Connection) and Kimi wa Kono Sekai no Hanbun (You’re half of this world).
An exhibition titled ‘Exhibition of Shinkai Makoto – Hoshi no Ue kara Kimi no Na wa made’ (Shinkai Makoto – from Voices of a Distant Star to Your Name) between 3 June and 27 August 2017 at the Ooka Makoto Kotoba Museum in Shizuoka. Materials from the movies and storyboards are going to be exhibited.
