Manga Eizou-ken ni Te wo Dasu na! (Keep your hands off Eizoken!) by Sumito Oowara will get a TV anime adaptation.
The anime will be directed by highly acclaimed director Masaaki Yuasa, know for such works as Devilman Crybaby and Kimi to, Nami ni Noretara. This will be Yuasa’s first TV anime since 2014’s Ping Pong the Animation. The character designs will be handled by Naoyuki Asano (Mr. Osomatsu), and the music will be handled by oorutaichi. The animation will be fronted by Yuasa’s studio Science SARU.
The coming-of-age series follows the adventures of a group of girls who follow their anime-making dreams in their school’s Eizouken (video research club). The manga has been collected into 3 volumes so far, with the 4th volume to go on sale on Friday 10 May. The anime adaptation will air on Japan’s national NHK network.
An English-subtitled promotional video gives a glimpse into the unique world of the anime.
