After the last promotional video of Hiromi Takashima’s upcoming OVA Kase-san and Morning Glories (Asagao to Kase-san), the title has now revealed additional cast. The recording has already been completed, and the staff has left some lovely comments which you can see down below.

It has also been announced that Kase-san and Morning Glories (Asagao to Kase-san)‘s Minami Takahashi, Ayane Sakura, and Ibuki Kido will be present on Pony Canyon’s stage at AnimeJapan 2018 from 10:30 to 11:00 on 25 March. In order to participate, you can preorder the ‘Kase-san and Morning Glories Nakayoshi SD Badge Set of 3′ on canime.jp, which comes with a priority application ticket. The set goes on sale today, 2 March, and the deadline to apply for the stage is 12 March.
I’ve managed to run through this together with Yamada, Kase, and everybody else! I was able to feel lots of new emotions and expressions during the recording. Freaking out, getting butterflies in my stomach, and feeling happy- it really was ‘youth’!
This was a work overflowing with fresh and young romance, the subtleties of the mixed emotions of adolescence and the power of earnest youth. It was a happy yet bashful time together with the two characters who are so different from one another.
It was so wonderfully fresh but sometimes bittersweet. It made me think ‘I wish I could have lived my adolescence like this!’ I put everything into my voice as Mikawa so that we get some excitement in this anime!
I play an upperclassman who can get pretty awkward as she cheers on Yamada and Kase, but she’s a really good person [laugh] It’s a very kind and sweet story. It was a film that purified my soul. Please check it out at theaters!!
This work made me really see the beauty of a story about a girl who likes another girl. It is filled with fleeting and ephemeral feelings that are hard to express in words. My heart was pounding throughout the entire recording. I’m so happy I was able to take part in this work!
This fresh and youthful story reminded me of my own schooldays and gave me a warm feeling in my chest. During the recording, my heart was thumping as I saw Yamada’s heart wavering and Kase’s cool yet maiden-like qualities. The recording was a very happy time for me.
I was really happy to see that one of my favorite manga would be adapted into anime. But for me to be able to actually participate myself was really moving! It’s a work I and the others treated with so, so much care in order not to destroy the feeling of the original work, so I hope you will enjoy it. I’ll be appearing at an unexpected point.
To be screened at Shinjuku Wald 9, Ikebukuro HUMAX Cinema and other places from 9 June 2018.

Yamada is a shy second-year high school student and a member of the gardening committee. Kase is a beautiful girl from the next class and an ace of the track-and-field club. Because Yamada planted morning glories, the distance between the girls, who didn’t exchange a word before, shrinks little by little.
