TV anime Kakuriyo no Yadomeshi (to air in Spring 2018) released its first promotional video and main cast. Main character Aoi Tsubaki will be played by Nao Toyama, the Inn’s Master by Katsuyuki Konishi, and Ginji by Shunichi Toki.

The original work is a novel series by Midori Yuma (author) and Laruha (illustrator) and is being published by Kadokawa’s Fujimi L Bunko.

The fantasy story follows main character Aoi Tsubaki, a university student who is swept away into a hidden world (Kakuri Yo) as a demon’s wife because of her grandfather’s loan. Instead of marrying the demon, she opens a restaurant at an old-fashioned inn called Tenjinya to pay back the loan. 7 volumes have been published so far and the series sold more than 500 thousand copies by December 2017.

Gonzo will be in charge of the animation production and FlyingDog will add the music to this anime.

Last but not least, a 35-second long promotional video has been released too. The teaser is showing the Inn’s Master coming for Aoi, who got rescued by an ayakashi in her childhood. Please look forward to what kind of story Kakuriyo’s old-fashioned inn will bring.
