Kabaneri of the Iron Fortress‘s new movie has been announced during the Plus Ultra Fuji TV Anime Lineup Presentation 2018’s livestream. The movie Koutetsujou no Kabaneri: Unato Kessen (Kabaneri of the Iron Fortress: Unato Decisive Battle) is slated to open somewhere in 2018. DMM Games is said to release a social game application.

Director and scriptwriter Tetsuro Araki (Guilty Crown, Attack on Titan) is to continue his brilliant work with the help of series composer Ichiro Okouchi (Planetes, Code Geass), original character designer Haruhiko Mikimoto (Mobile Suit Gundam 0080, The Super Dimension Fortress Macross) and music composer Hiroyuki Sawano (Guilty Crown, Attack on Titan). It has also been announced that cast of the TV series, which aired from April to June 2016, will be back to reprise their roles.

DMM Games is to release the game Koutetsujou no Kabaneri -Ran- Hajimaru Michiato (lit. Kabaneri of the Iron Fortress -Revolt- Beginning Tracks) somewhere from July to September 2018. The game is to take place between the TV series and the upcoming movie.
