On March 27th, AnimeJapan 2016 hosted a stage show for the TV anime “Jojo’s Bizarre Adventure: Diamond Is Unbreakable”, airing from April 1st.
A large number of Jojo fans welcomed Yuuki Ono, VA for Jousuke Higashikata, and Takahiro Sakurai, VA for Rohan Kishibe, in a vivid pink jacket on the stage. Ono was excited to play the protagonist of the fourth arc, and so was Sakurai as the very generation that enjoyed reading the fourth arc in real time.
Then, Daisuke Ono, VA for Joutaro Kuujou in the third arc joined the stage. D. Ono, suffering from “Jojo loss” after finishing the quest in Egpyt, showed us how much he loves Jojo to the audience by striking Jojo’s various theatrical poses on the stage to fully entertain the fans.
They also announced on the stage that Daisuke Ono passed his job as the main radio personality of the distributing internet radio program “Ora-ora Radio” at Internet Radio Station Onsen, to Yuuki Ono.
As the anime is switching from the third arc to the fourth, Daisuke Ono cheered for Yuuki Ono on the stage to “inherit” the Jojo spirit. “Inheritttt!!! If you can’t get the Jojo’s signature pose right… I’ll punish you!” “Inheritttt!!! Now! Long vowel (あ), or geminate consonant in hiragana (っ), or geminate consonant in katakana (ッ)! Let me hear you distinguish them all clearly!” and such. He also sent a hot cheer of “Inheritttt! You must cut open your way to “health” on your own!” as the role has a lot of scenes to yell loud in the show.
“Jojo’s Bizarre Adventure: Diamond Is Unbreakable” starts airing on April 1st, starting from 24:30 (00:30 am the next day) at TOKYO MX, and later MBS, TBS, BS11, and Animax in Japan. The premise is set in the town of Moriou in Japan, 11 years after the mortal combat with DIO in Egypt.
