The idol project 22/7 (read ‘Nanabun no Nijuuni’) will air a TV anime adaptation from January 2020. A teaser visual and video have also been released in addition to the announcement.
The group 22/7 is being produced by Yasushi Akimoto, who is well-known for producing the AKB48 franchise and is a joint venture with Sony Music and ANIPLEX. Many famous Japanese creators have come together to bring 22/7 to life. The members of the group, who voice the characters as well as provide motion capture, were all chosen in auditions. During the Nana Niji Fes 2019, which took place at duo MUSIC EXCHANGE in Shibuya on 22 July 2019, it was announced that the idol project would air an anime series in Winter 2020.
In addition to the TV anime announcement, a music video of 22/7’s 4th single ‘Nanimo Shite Agerarenei’, which will be released on 21 August 2019, was also shown for the first time at Nana Niji Fes 2019. You can watch the music video below or on their official YouTube channel.
Yuki Horiguchi, the original character designer and animation director, created this music video with the help of Director uki (maxilla) and many more popular creators.
