It has been revealed that Ryu Fujisaki’s Hoshin Engi (also known as ‘Soul Hunter’) will get a new anime adaptation! This news was revealed on 3 August 2017 in the joint issue 36 and 37 of Shueisha’s Weekly Young Jump.
Hoshin Engi follows the story of Taikobo. He wants to rid the world of evil demons who infest the world of the humans. It is inspired by Chinese literary classic Fensheng Yanyi. The manga was serialized in Shueisha’s Weekly Shonen Jump between 1996-2000 and an anime adaptation aired in 1999.
The new anime adaptation has revealed Kensho Ono will voice Taikobo, Tomoaki Maeno will voice Bunchuu, and Takahiro Sakurai will voice Supushan. The Senkai Taisen will be the main focus of the story, which will include many fighting scenes with Taikobo and Bunchuu to look forward to. The magazine also included a teaser visual.
