Keep warm this winter season with the latest anime info at MANGA.TOKYO!
In the upcoming anime Hisone and Masotan, we follow a young woman called Hisone as she joins the Japan Self-Defence Air Force and encounters a transforming flying dragon known as Masotan.
We have already been introduced to the main characters and we have seen the first trailer. However, we had yet to get a glimpse of any of the OTF (Organic Transformed Flyers) other than the titular Masotan. Luckily, the new visual shows Masotan and some of his friends in a transformed state! The dragons are all transformed into fighter planes for which director Higuchi himself was very particular about!
In addition, it has been revealed that the voice of Masotan will be provided by Matsunojo Kanda, who performs the traditional Japanese art of professional storytelling (rakugo). This just raises the expectations for this unique anime that will be crossing genres.
The anime will first air on Friday 13 April 2018 at midnight.
The opening theme will be sung by Riko Fukumoto, who won the grand prize in the Toho Cinderella competition. The title of the song will be ‘Shoujo wa Ano Sora wo Wataru’ (The girl will cross the sky).
The ending theme will be a cover of legendary French singer France Gall’s song ‘Le temp de la rentreé’. It will be titled ‘Le temp de la rentreé ~Koi no Ieji (Shingakki) ~’ (Back to school ~Romantic way home (New school term)~). The song will be performed by the Dragon pilots Hisone Amakasu (Misaki Kuno), Nao Kaizaki (Tomoyo Kurosawa), Eru Hoshino (Maki Kawase), Ririko Kinetsugai (Satomi Arai) and Mayumi Hitomi (Kaori Nazuka).
