Comment from Mariya Takeuchi, Composer and Writer of ‘Yume no Hate Made’
About ‘Yume no Hate Made’
‘Haikara-san ga Tooru is a masterpiece that has been loved by many generations. It is an honor for me to provide a theme song for this movie. Hayami’s clear voice fits the song I wrote, thinking of myself as Benio, perfectly. I would be happy if this song became the theme of the girls of this generation.’

At some point, hate became love.
It’s the Taisho era (~1920). 17-year-old Benio Hanamura goes to an all-girls school, is always full of energy and easily starts fights. She enjoys the days at school with her friends and she wants to choose herself her future husband and the person she loves. And then she meets the good-looking lieutenant Shinobu Ijuin. Her grandparents agreed that their grandchildren would get married, which is why Benio doesn’t like him. She starts to fight against the forced marriage, a marriage without love, but gradually gets to know the lieutenant and slowly falls for him…
