A collaboration visual between Godzilla: Kessen Kidou Zoushoku Toshi (Godzilla/ The City Mechanized for the Final Battle) and Psycho-Pass has been released in celebration of the 5th anniversary of Toho Animation.

The sketch of the visual was made by Psycho-Pass director Naoyoshi Shiotani and shows the greatest Godzilla of all time, Godzilla Earth, and Akane Tsunemori from Psycho-Pass carrying the iconic firearm Dominator.

The visual will be exhibited at the Toho Animation booth at AnimeJapan 2018 (24-25 March, Tokyo). Fans will be able to buy clear files with the visual.

The second Godzilla animation movie is scheduled to come out on 18 May 2018, set on an unknown Earth with an ecosystem that has Godzilla at the top of the food chain. Psycho-Pass on the other hand is set in the near future, in a society where the mental state of the citizens is scanned all the time and we follow the activities of some members of the Public Safety Bureau. A 3-part anime film series for it is already planned, starting with the first movie Psycho-Pass Sinners of the System which will come out in January 2019.

‘I have announced Psycho-Pass SS as my next project before. Maybe there were some that thought it was strange that Akane was not in the teaser visual that we released?……That’s right! She traveled 20,000 years into the future and fights the giant creature Godzilla Earth!! And that’s where this strange story ends. I am very honored to be able to work with Godzilla, which is a work that represents Japan. It is a wonderful opportunity and I am happy to take it.’
