The anime Fukumenkei Noise just ended, but fans can lean back and wait for more of this music story. Ryoko Fukuyama’s manga will get a live action adaptation, for which the key visual has been revealed!
The manga is currently being serialized in Hakusensha’s Hana to Yume and is a story about high school, music, and unrequited love. The three main characters are Nino (Ayami Nakajo), Nino’s childhood friend Momo (Yuta Koseki) and Yuzu (Jun Shison) who has secretly been in love with Nino for a long.
The key visual shows all three of them, standing in front of the sea, perfectly expressing the relationship between them without having to use any words. Furthermore, a first trailer was released, where Nino is greeting the viewer with her singing voice. Then the trailer takes off and the ending theme ‘Find You’ by Man with a Mission starts to play. The song was written for the movie after the group read the manga.
Nakajo said about the song, ‘It is such a beautiful song. I like the song so much, I even sing it at home.’ And Jean-Ken Johnny, in charge of singing and guitar in Man with a Mission, said, ‘In the story, Nino, Momo, and Yuzu are struggling to find each other. “Find You” is our interpretation of their feelings.’
The movie will come into Japanese cinemas on 25 November 2017.
Comment from Ayami Nakajo (Nino)
‘I knew from the beginning that many people have read the original manga and I was very nervous until I saw what was planned for the movie, how the director viewed the world, and how it fit the movie so nicely, so my worries became less the more I knew. Each character carries secrets in their heart, they love music with a passion and express it through their instruments or through singing. It’s very pure and youthful, making it a really nice work. In the beginning, I was unsure about the singing because I haven’t ever done it properly, but I borrowed the strength of Nino, the vocal trainer and the amazing staff, so that now I came to really like singing. During the movie as well as in the ending credits, a song by Man with a Mission was used. It is such a beautiful song that one wants the movie to never end. I like the song so much, I even sing it at home.’
Comment from Jean-Ken Johnny (Man with a Mission, Guitar, Vocal and Rap)
‘Some time before, we were contacted because the original creator liked our songs and he wanted to give us the opportunity to write a song. We are very honored to be part of Fukumenkei Noise. We are also very grateful to get such praising comments from the actress Ayami Nakajo. In the story, Nino, Momo and Yuzu are struggling to find each other. “Find You” is our interpretation of their feelings. It’s as if Nino is singing it and as if Momo or Yuzu had written it or were answering her. Even if only those who watch the movie will listen to the song, we would be happy if you listen to it.’
