Good news for all the Sailor Moon fans out there! Toei Animation has announced the opening of the world’s first official Sailor Moon shop in Tokyo, Japan.
The statement from Toei Animation reads as follows:
Toei Animation, in cooperation with Kodansha and Bandai, will open an official Pretty Guardian Sailor Moon store, ‘Sailor Moon store’, in Laforet Harajuku Subway 0.5F.
Pretty Guardian Sailor Moon (created by Naoko Takeuchi) was published in December 1991 in the Kodansha magazine Nakayoshi and became a social phenomenon that spanned generations resulting in anime and goods that are loved by girls around the world even today.
At the store, long-awaited original goods, as is expected of an official shop, are scheduled to be on sale. From Harajuku, the birthplace of the kawaii culture, aimed at fans not only in Japan but worldwide, we are developing goods that will express the charm of Sailor Moon.
It seems like the details of the design of the store’s interior will be announced at a later date. Here is a list of some of the products to be sold in the official Sailor Moon store. (These products do not include the store’s original goods.)
