Fate/Grand Order Original Soundtrack I, the soundtrack of the popular smartphone game Fate/Grand Order, has won the category Animation Album of The Year at the 32nd Japan Gold Disc Award 2018. The CD album Kono Oto Tomare! ~Tokise Kouto Gakkou Soukyoku-bu~(Kono Oto Tomare! Tokise High School Koto Club), an album of tracks consisting of the Japanese stringed instrument koto and based on Amyu’s manga Kono Oto Tomare!, won the category Traditional Japanese Music Album of The Year.
The Japan Gold Disc Award’s winners are determined based on the sales performance of CDs, music videos, and paid online music platforms. The Recording Industry Association of Japan is sponsoring this award and they counted the sales results from 1 January to 31 December 2017.
The vocal track ‘Burn Out!’ (Vocals: Noa), from the upcoming second soundtrack, was played in full during the 27 February’s episode of Fate/Grand Order Chaldea Radio Station on Nippon Cultural Broadcasting station ‘Chou! A&G+’.
Fate/Grand Order Original Soundtrack II will be released on 28 March 2018.
