Shiwon Miura’s novel Feel the Wind (Kaze ga Tsuyoku Fuiteiru) will be getting a TV anime! It will start airing in October 2018.
the youth novel revolving around a running event called Hakone Ekiden started being published by Shinchosha in September 2009. In 2007, a manga adaptation by Sorata Unno was created and was followed by a live action movie in 2009.
Production I.G (Haikyu, Legend of the Galactic Heroes: Die Neue These) will be in charge of the animation. The director will be Kazuya Nomura (Joker Game, Ghost in the Shell) with script and series composition conducted by Kohei Kiyasu, who received a Japan Academy Award for Picture of the Year with The Kirishima Thing at the 36th Japan Academy Awards in 2013. Character designs will be done by Takahiro Chiba (Haikyu). It has further been revealed that the main character Kakeru Kurahara will be voiced by Takeo Ootsuka and the fourth-year student Haiji Kiyose will be voiced by Toshiyuki Toyonaga. More cast members will be revealed at a later point.
