It has been announced that TAa’s web manga Emichi-san chi no Kyou no Gohan (Today’s Menu for Emiya Family) will be getting a web anime.
The series revolves around the protagonist of Fate/stay Night, Shirou Emiya, his friends, and the delicious home-cooked food that they eat. The manga is currently being serialized on Kadokawa’s Young AceUP and has so far been collected into 2 paperback volumes.
The new gourmet anime will be animated by ufotable, who also animated Fate/stay Night [Unlimited Blade Works] and the current movie trilogy Fate/stay Night [Heaven’s Feel]. Each chapter of the manga includes a recipe at the end, so we are excited about what we may learn from the animated version.
The first episode of the anime aired during the Fate Project New Year’s Eve TV Special 2017 and will be made available to watch online on 25 January 2018. After that, the anime will air on the first day of each month at 9 pm JST.
The opening theme will be ‘Apron Boy’ by DJ Misoshiru and MC Gohan (lit. ‘DJ Miso Soup’ and ‘MC Rice’. As you can guess by the name, they often produce songs that are about food. The ending theme will be ‘Collage’ by the group Sangatsu no Pantasia. The staff and cast so far are as follows:
