The new manga series Edens Zero by Hiro Mashima published its first chapter in the 30th issue of Kodansha’s Weekly Shonen Magazine which came out today, 27 June 2018.
It has been roughly 11 months since Mashima’s famous Fairy Tail ended. In the new manga, we meet a young human boy named Shiki and follow him on his fantasy adventure through the ‘dream kingdom’ of Granbell, where many robots gather. He also meets Rebecca, a girl who came to Grandbell together with her talking cat Happy, who is surprised that she meets Shiki in a country that should only be made up of robots. Shiki so far has been living happily among his robot friends but is intrigued by Rebecca, the first human he has ever met, so he wants to deepen their relationship, but…
It has already been decided that the series will be distributed in English, French, Chinese, Korean, Thai, and Portuguese at the same time as the Japanese chapters.
The manga starts off with a color double spread and has 81 pages. The magazine also celebrates the series by giving away a ‘Happy with black tail’ plush to 100 lucky winners. To participate you have to live in Japan and details about the giveaway can be found in the magazine.
