Upcoming Spring 2017 anime Eromanga Senseiheld a pre-broadcast special event on 26 March 2017, the final day of Japan’s biggest anime event, AnimeJapan 2017.Attending the event were Akane Fujita (Sagiri Izumi), Yoshitsugu Matsuoka (Masamune Izumi), Minami Takahashi (Elf Yamada), Saori Oonishi (Muramasa Senju), Ibuki Kido (Megumi Jinno), Yui Ishikawa (Tomoe Takasago).
Akane Fujita (Sagiri Izumi), Yoshitsugu Matsuoka (Masamune Izumi), Minami Takahashi (Elf Yamada), Saori Oonishi (Muramasa Senju), Ibuki Kido (Megumi Jinno), Yui Ishikawa (Tomoe Takasago) joined the event. All of the cast members went on stage except for Akane Fujita, who hid next to the Eromanga Senseilogo. The MC for the day, Yoshitsugu Matsuoka, suggested that the audience and those on stage do something funny to get her to come on stage. After Matsuoka’s rash request, Minami Takahashi took the initiative and led the audience in a wave by calling out ‘Eromanga’ and at the end, everyone yelled ‘Sensei’ filling the venue with laughter. Once they did that, Akane Fujita emerged with just the tiniest smile on her face.
At one point, the staff carefully brought out a pure gold, ¥400,000 Eromanga Senseistatue. Even the case had to be handled with great care and it was announced that the statues will be made-to-order! The cast, including Akane Fujita who was lured on stage by the gold statue, began to talk about Eromanga Sensei’s highlights. They said it’s a work that both those who are fans of the original and those who got to know it through the anime will enjoy.
When the talk ended, the group in charge of the ending song, TrySail (Momo Asakura, Sora Amamiya, and Shiina Natsukawa), arrived on stage to the cheers of the audience and, for the first time, performed the 90-second version of the ending song, adrenaline!!!
We went to many events at AnimeJapan 2017, but none of them were as pumped up as this one. It was an event that both the cast and the fans enjoyed.
TV anime Eromanga Sensei will be broadcast from 8 April 2017. It is part of MANGA.TOKYO’s episodic anime reviews for Spring 2017.
