The TV anime adaptation of popular smartphone game Ensemble Stars! released a new teaser trailer and announced that it will start airing in July 2019.

The news was announced during the Ensemble Stars! Starry Stage 2nd ~in Nippon Budokan~ on 13 January 2019, a concert starring members of the cast. The trailer was also streamed into the venue, and it shows scenes from the main story of the smartphone game.

Ensemble Stars! is based on an idol-raising game, in which the user plays the sole female student on the idol course at the prestigious Yumenosaki Academy. There, the player acts as producer to her classmates and budding idols. The game’s scenario writer, Akira, is also in charge of the series composition of the anime. As previously announced, the entire original cast of the main story will be back to reprise their roles in the anime.
