Eromanga Sensei is officially collaborating with e-Flight Academy, covering a Piper PA-46 with the images of the characters from the anime. The airplane will be on public display at Nagoya Airport on 3 June 2017, 10:00-16:00.
Aniplex provided the data for the wrapping and the whole left side of the aircraft was covered in Eromanga Sensei characters and the right side covered with characters from Ore no Imoto ga Konna ni Kawaii Wake ga Nai, a previous work by Tsuaksa Fushimi and Hiro Kanzaki. The inside of the plane was made to look like an exact reproduction of Sagiri Izumi’s room.
The airplane was introduced in a NicoNico broadcast as an ‘official Ita-airplane’ and successfully had its first flight. If you don’t know what an Ita-airplane is, check out our article about Ita-bags here! Ita-Planes are just the airplane version.
The public display in Nagoya is for those who missed the broadcast and want to see the characters up close and see the interior and the cockpit. There will be no barrier around the airplane, so it will be possible to take good pictures, and it is also possible to take a look inside.
The pilot who flew the aircraft will also be at the venue to answer questions. Three lucky fans will also receive a board signed by Akane Fujita, the voice of Sagiri. Fujita will draw an illustration on the board, making it a very rare item for fans. The three winners will be announced on the website of e-Flight Academy at the beginning of June.
The entrance fee to the event is 1,000 yen (incl. tax). This is the last public presentation of the airplane, so if you are in Japan take this chance to visit the first ita-plane!
