The anime adaptation for Kei Sasuga’s Domestic Girlfriend released a new trailer and revealed more info about the cast and theme song. The anime will start airing on January 2019.
The trailer shows how the feelings of the three main characters interlace. The story follows Natsuo, who is in love with his teacher Hina Tachibana, but since he knows he doesn’t really have a chance with the older woman, he accepts an offer by a girl he meets through a group date who just wants to make love, no strings attached. Later it turns out that his father’s new wife brings her daughters into the family, Hina Tachibana and Rui, the girl he slept with the other day. The three of them end up living together.
The opening theme called ‘Kawaki wo Ameku’ will be provided by Minami, a singer and songwriter who has over 9 million views on their music videos currently available on YouTube. You can already hear the song playing in the new trailer. The ending will be provided by Alisa Takigawa.
Takuya Eguchi will voice Fumiya, who is Natsuo’s childhood friend. Takeaki Masuyama will voice Masaki and Kajiwara Gakuto will voice Kazushi, Natsuo’s classmates. Natsuo’s father will be voiced by Nobuo Tobita and Rui’s and Hina’s mother by Yurika Hino.
