Dokyonin wa Hiza, Tokidoki Atama no Ue. (My housemate is on my lap, sometimes on my head) chose the International Cat Day (today, 8 August 2018) to announce its 2019 anime adaptation!
The manga has been running on the online manga site COMIC Polaris since 2015. It was originally created by Minatsuki and is being adapted into manga by Asu Futatsuya. The story follows Subaru Mikazu, a mystery writer that is not good at socializing with people, and his new roommate Haru, a stray cat that has become his muse. The TV anime adaptation will be directed by Kaoru Suzuki and produced by Zero-G. In charge of series composition will be Deko Akao and the character designs will be by Masaru Kitao.
