The 21st movie of the Detective Conan franchise (originally created by Gosho Aoyama), Detective Conan: Crimson Love Letter, comes to Japanese cinemas on 15 April 2017.
This movie is set in Osaka and Kyoto and tells the mystery of a crimson-stained chained love. Appearing during the movie as special guests are the comedian Daisuke Miyagawa and the actress Riho Yoshioka. The theme song ‘Togetsukuyou ~Kimi Omofu~’ will be sung by Mai Kuraki, which coincidentally will also be her 21st time collaborating with Conan.
Mai Kuraki and Detective Conan are collaborating for the 21st time!
As the story is set during the fall in Osaka and Kyoto, it promises to show off the beautiful Japanese landscape. It is also said that the Hyakunin Isshu (hundred poems which are written on cards) will play an important part in this movie. The mystery novelist Takahiro Okura participated in writing the script.
