Death March to the Parallel World Rhapsody (Desumachi for short) started as a light novel on the website Shosetsuka ni narou and soon became a huge success that spawned a manga adaptation. Its turn into an anime has been announced some time ago and the series just announced that it will start broadcast in January 2018. Furthermore, it has been announced that the main character, Satou, would be voiced by Shun Horie.
In this story, the main character goes on a dreamlike adventure when he wakes up in a parallel world after a nap he took during a ‘death march.’ Satou now gets to save girls, date someone, do some sightseeing, and enjoy his new life.
Directing the series is Shin Onuma and the animation production will be done by Silver Link. x Connect (Fate/ Kaleid Liner Prisma Illya).
Shun Horie has left a comment, ‘I will try my best to breathe life into Satou, who is a 29-year-old working adult and ends up in the body of a 15-year-old child. I want to enjoy the recording to the fullest! Please support me!’ He also left a video message, in which he talks about the charms of Satou:
