The upcoming Studio TRIGGER andA-1 Pictures anime Darling in the Franxx has revealed new information about the series through a recent ad. The advertisement was shown during the re-broadcast of Tengen Toppa Gurren Lagann and is focusing on the mechanical design by Shigeto Koyama.
The new key visual is shown at the end of the video and features a new robot. As it turns out, Darling in the Franxx is indeed a mecha anime. We also learn that the steel body robot was modeled to look like the body of a woman and is called a Franxx. The Japanese in-between text also hints at the story with phrases like ‘a girl that became a huge weapon’, ‘others enter her body’, ‘feeling the whole body stir from the inside’ and ‘entrusting the body to the partner.’
More advertisements like this will be revealed starting 13 September 2017 during the Gurren Lagann broadcast. There will be a total of five different advertisements telling us more about the Frankxx and the other characters!
