Recently it has been announced that Adi Shankar, the producer of anime Castlevania (Akumajou Dracula), is working on visualizing a new original Japanese video game. However, Shankar officially announced that he is working on an adaptation Capcom’s popular action game Devil May Cry.
Concrete details about this new animation have not been revealed yet. However, the overseas IGN did an exclusive interview and came across some interesting information. Shankar revealed that Devil May Cry will be part of a ‘Bootleg Universe’ together with Castlevania and belong to the same multi-world view (multiverse).
This will be the second animation following Madhouse’s Devil May Cry‘s TV anime series in 2007.
Speaking of multiverse, Marvel and DC are often making use of crossovers between their own titles. Even though it has not specifically been mentioned, we can start to speculate about the possibility of an unexpected crossover between Devil May Cry and Castlevania.
