A special screening of the spin-off series Yowamushi Pedal SPARE BIKE will take place in movie theaters starting from September 9 to promote the third season, scheduled for January 2017. This spin-off series explores the past of each character who at the time of the first serialization were still third graders . The story’s about the two greatest climbers (cyclists, adept at slope climbing) Yusuke Makishima and Jinpachi Toudou. During the screening, fans will have the chance to see a comical spin-off bonus part called “Yowamushi Pedal SPARE BIKE Soreike Arakitakun”.
The Blu-ray & DVD of these spin-off series will be released in November 16.
The first-time limited edition will include a booklet of Wataru Watanabe’s original short bonus story “Yowamushi Pedal SPARE BIKE Soreike Arakitakun”, SPARE BIKE Mini Theater “Makishima, Toudou’s case”, and a production book that showcases the anime’s storyboard and details.
According to TOHO animation STORE, the EC site of TOHO’s anime label “TOHO animation”, there will be two limited editions: an ultra rare edition that contains an acrylic standing key chain featuring an original illustration of the eleven characters, and an original drawing Arakita-kun version that contains an acrylic key chain featuring an early-day Yasutomo Arakita.
The Arakita-kun version will go on sale on September 9 in movie theaters.
