The theme songs for the new series of the battle action manga Blood Blockade Battlefront (Kekkai Sensen) series Blood Blockage Battlefront and Beyond (Kekkai Sensen & Beyond) have been announced. The opening theme will be sung by Unison Square Garden, who were in charge of the ending of the first anime series. The title of the song is ‘fake town baby’. The lyrics were written by vocalist Tomoya Tabuchi. The band will release the song as their new single on 15 November 2017.
The ending will be by DAOKO x Yasuyuki Okamura and will be titled ‘Step up Love’. Daoko is a rap singer who came into the spotlight through Nico Nico Douga, followed by her major debut. She was also in charge of the theme song for the anime movie Fireworks, Should we See It from the Side or the Bottom? titled ‘Uchiage Hanabi’. Yasuyuki Okamura is a singer-songwriter who was active in the 80s and 90s and is currently working as music producer. He was in charge of composition, arrangement, and production.
A preview screening will be held on 30 September 2017. They will screen Episode 1, ‘Light, Camera, Action!’, and feature on stage the cast members Rikiya Koyama, Daisuke Sakaguchi, Kazuya Nakai, Mitsuru Miyamoto, Yu Kobayashi, Hikaru Midorikawa, and Yuma Uchida. The stage event will be held at TOHO Cinemas Roppongi Hills. Tickets go on sale on 22 September 2017, 00:00 (JST) on the official website of the cinema. Tickets cost 2,500 yen and those who want a premiere box can reserve it for an extra fee of 1,000 yen and a premiere luxury seat is available for 3,000 yen.
