2018 is almost out, guys and girls, and that means that another anime year is ready to take its place.
The manga Beastars, written by Paru Itagaki, will get an anime adaptation! The series will be produced by Orange, who also worked on Land of the Lustrous.
Beastars is currently being serialized in Akita Shoten’s Weekly Shonen Champion and set in a world where both carnivore and herbivore anthropomorphic animals coexist. The main character is a gray wolf with a large body called Legosi. At his school he gets tangled up in murder cases, a love that goes over the boundaries of species, the undying conflicts between herbivores and carnivores and a battle for the title of ‘Beastar’ – hero of the animals. This series won many manga awards in 2018 and will release its 12th volume on 8 February 2019.
A first teaser trailer has been revealed, which shows the first meeting between the protagonist Legosi and the female lead, a dwarf rabbit named Haru. We will have to wait for further information on the staff and cast members.
