ARGONAVIS from BanG Dream! will be getting both an anime and a smartphone game! Spring 2020 will see the airing of the anime, which will be titled Argonavis from BanG Dream! The smartphone game will be released sometime in the second half of 2020 under the title Argonavis from BanG Dream! AAside (pronounced ‘double A-side’)
Argonavis is the boy band spin-off from the popular game BanG Dream! project, which sees the voice actors of the character perform in real-life as the bands. The members of Argonavis have already successfully performed live gigs together as the band. The anime and smartphone game were announced on 5 November 2019 during the Argonavis Project Announcement Event along with the band names and visuals of two brand new bands!
The anime Argonavis from BanG Dream! will be set in Hakodate in Hokkaido a follow a group of male university students who play in a band named Argonavis. The smartphone game takes place in Tokyo and we follow groups of young men as they put all their passion into a new band project. It will be exciting for fans to see the connection between the anime and game stories.
The new bands are named ‘Gyroaxia’ and ‘Fantome Iris’ and both consist of 5 members. You can check out the visuals of the bands above and music videos for them down below.
