Fall 2017 Anime: Official Twitter Hashtags & Pages
The MANGA.TOKYO staff had its share of summer. Now, all we wish is for the hot and humid weather to go away and give its place to the red and cool autumn.
The first exhibition of the works of NishiOishiN (Ishin Nishio), who has brought us works such as Kubikiri Cycle, Bakemonogatari, and The Memorandum of Kyouko Okitegami (Okitegami Kyouko no Bibouroku), is scheduled to take place in Tokyo and Osaka and will be entitled ‘NishiOishiN Daijiten.’
The Tokyo exhibition will take place at Matsuya in Ginza from 27 July 2017; the Osaka exhibition is scheduled to begin on 9 August 2017 at Shinsaibashi’s Daimaru Department Store.
Nishio is known for his quick writing and plentiful works. The titles to be featured at the exhibition are his debut novel The Kubikiri Cycle which started off The Zaregoto Series; the first of his novels to be adapted into an anime, the popular Monogatari series; and his first work to be adapted into a live action TV series, the Boukyaku Tantei Series. The exhibition will display Nishio’s previously unpublished works, audio guidance from the characters, and original goods which can’t be purchased anywhere else.
Nishio has charmed many fans with his unique view of the world. We are looking forward to what he has in store for us at his very first exhibition.
