The stage adaptation of Attack on Titan scheduled for Summer 2017 has been canceled. This was decided after a fatal accident occurred during the inspection of the production equipment. On 10 April 2017 acrobatics director Kazutaka Yoshino died while inspecting equipment that was to be used during the performance at the Maihama Amphitheater. The decision was made after much consideration by the executives.
The organizers said, ‘We asked Yoshino to work on this production as a performer, acrobatic director, performance coordinator, and actor because he had experience working all over the world. He was very important to the production since he directed all the important action scenes. I think it would be difficult to coordinate the show until the summer with how things are now, so I regret to say that we have to cancel the stage adaptation for now. We are sorry for the inconvenience caused for our customers. We apologize.’
Details on how to get a refund on your ticket will be announced on their official website on 21 April 2017.
