To commemorate the Spring 2017 broadcast of the TV anime ATOM: THE BEGINNING, a special exhibition will be held at the Osamu Tezuka Manga Museum in Takarazuka City. It will be held from March 2 to June 26, 2017.
ATOM: THE BEGINNING is a manga series that began serialization in the manga magazine Monthly Hero’s in January 2015. It features the story of Tenma and Ochanomizu during their student days in a near-future world that is recovering from a disaster with an unknown cause. It is set before the birth of Astro Boy, one of the most famous characters by Osamu Tezuka.
The story reveals how these two were able to create a robot with a heart, and how they end up going their separate ways. It will also include homage to Tezuka’s other characters and works.
Details of the exhibition will be revealed in mid-February.
