From 2 March until 26 June 2017, an exhibition for the manga Atom: The Beginning (based on Astro Boy by Osamu Tezuka) will be held at the Osamu Tezuka Manga Museum in Takarazuka, Hyogo Prefecture.
This event is planned to commemorate the TV anime debut of Atom: The Beginning, and will present Illustrations of the manga covers and illustrations drawn especially for the exhibition.It will give us an idea of what it was like working on the manuscript and the story of Atom: The Beginning, and will also introduce the manga and the author.
They will also show material from the anime that will broadcast in Spring 2017. Aside from characters, robots, tools and backgrounds, the event will also exhibit art boards, storyboards, scripts, and voice recordings at the event. In the ‘Kinen-kan Corner’ will have colored concept drawings of Atom Cat, a remake of Astro Boy by Osamu Tezuka. You will be able to enjoy the various aspects of the world of ‘Astro Boy’ and ‘Atom: The Beginning’.
Atom: The Beginning is serialized in the monthly magazine Heroes. It is the story of a near-future Japan which was struck by a disaster. Nobody knows the cause until Astro Boy is born. Tetsuro Kasahara, the author of Atom: The Beginning, is best known for Rideback and also for Xad Runner. Masami Yuki will do the concept work for the anime. Makoto Tezuka is joining the series as a supervisor. Katsuyuki Motohiro (Odoru Daisosasen, Psycho-Pass) has been selected as general director, and Tatsuo Sato (Bodacious Space Pirates) is the director. The series composition will be handled by Junichi Fujisaku (Blood+). OLM, Production I.G and SIGNAL.MD are handling the production.

Admission Fee: JPY 700 (500) for adults, JPY 300 (240) for middle and high school students, JPY 100 (80) for elementary school students
