Re:ZERO -Starting Life in Another World- has revealed that the second season of the anime will begin airing in April 2020.

It has also been announced that the first season, which originally aired in 2016, will broadcast as a new edition from 1 January 2020 on various Japanese TV stations. The episodes have been newly cut and re-edited into one-hour episodes.

A new visual for this newly edited version of the first season has been released and features Emilia and Subaru.
