A few weeks ago it was announced that the anisong (anime song) streaming service ANiUTa would be getting a release in the U.S. this August. We finally have more details.
The official release date for the U.S. is 1 August 2018 (PST). The app was designed for both iPhone and Android, so it will be available via the App Store and Google Play. At the time of launch, the U.S. version of ANiUTa will feature over 10,000 songs available for streaming.
Enjoying all the features of the app requires a subscription of $4.99 a month. This price is based on the Japanese price of 600 yen per month and might change in the future depending on the exchange rates and more. With this subscription, you will be able to search songs by anime title, see lyrics, listen to full-length songs via streaming, register up to 1000 songs in your personal library and enjoy high-quality streaming at 320kbps.
Those who are not subscribed may listen to 30-second clips of songs, search songs by anime title, read lyrics and save up to 20 songs in your library. The songs featured in the app include old classics, popular titles, as well as themes from recent series. From the current series, you can find songs from Attack on Titan Season 3, Laid-Back Camp, Shojo Kageki Revue Starlight, Steins;Gate 0, and many more!
Of course, the app will also include songs from Love Live! Sunshine!!, Fairy Tail, One-Punch Man and other popular anime. It is worth to take a look at it, so mark your calendars!
Find more information about the app on the official ANiUTa website and don’t forget to participate in the pre-launch giveaway, which we featured also in our last article. The MANGA.TOKYO staff have been using this service for quite a while, so we are excited our readers in America will get to experience this app, which is an anisong fan’s dream!
