Animator from TRIGER paints over Shibuya Parco’s wall surface, drawing 4 day-lasting illustrations.
Shibuya Parco is scheduled to be temporarily closed as of August 7th for the reconstruction of the building, following the redevelopment of the Udagawa town district. Due to this reconstruction plan, the Anime & Manga-focused shop, Village Vanguard freaks (The first branch inside the Parco building) is also going to bring down the curtain on its operation. The anime creation company that has created a number of popular animations including Kill la Kill, Little Witch Academia and Space Patrol Luluco since its establishment in 2011, decided to celebrate the fresh start of Shibuya Parco and Village Vanguard. There will be a total of 23 participating animators including Hiroyuki Imaishi, who has experience directing Gurren Lagann and Kill la Kill, Hajime Sushio who has worked on the character design of Kill la Kill as well as Momoiro Clover Z’s music video “Yume no Ukiyo ni Saite Mi na”. We can’t stop wondering what they’re going to draw and leave on the giant wall of Parco.
The mural will be on display from August 4th to 7th. This limited time event will definitely be a must-to-see one for all the fans. In 2015, a lot of writers have flocked and wrote on the pillars of Libro Ikebukuro, (the department building decommissioned in 2015). There will also be lots of visitors coming for Parco’s big paint gallery event.
