Ahiru no Sora, based on a manga by Hinata Takeshi, has released a new key visual for the upcoming series. The visual shows five characters from the same school: Sora Kurumatani (voiced by Yuki Kaji), Momoharu Hanazono (voiced by Yuma Uchida), Chiaki Hanazono (voiced by Katsuyoshi Konishi), Kenji Natsume (voiced by Kisho Taniyama), and Kaname Shigeyoshi (voiced by Mamoru Miyano). The picture shows all of them in an action pose during basketball.
The first episode will premiere on 25 September 2019 at Tokyo’s TOHO cinema Shibuya. Kaji, Uchida, and Konishi will attend the event for a talk segment. Tickets will be on sale from 28 August 2019, 18:00 (JST) on Ticket Pia.
Collaboration goods will be released by the special supporter of the series, B.LEAGUE EARLY CUP 2019. Another collaboration event will take place with Kawasaki Brave Thunders on 9 November 2019 with Taniyama and Taku Yashiro (voice of Shinichi Yasuhara) as guests, and on 19 November 2019 with Kaji, Uchida, and Konishi as guests. The manga Ahiru no Sora is currently being serialized in Kodansha’s Shonen Magazine. It follows the story of Sora Kurumatani, who is a rather small boy but a genius basketball player who we follow as he enters high school and aims to become a professional basketball player. The anime adaptation will start airing in October 2019.
