3D Kanojo just aired its last episode, and the series has announced that it will be getting a second season in January 2019! Yu Serizawa, Teppei Uenishi, and Shota Aoi have left a joyful comment about this announcement.
The anime is a school comedy about the otaku Hikari Tsutsui, who only is interested in 2D things, and the school beauty Iroha Igarashi. The anime aired its first 12 episodes from April 2018 on Nippon TV’s AnichU channel.
Iroha’s voice actress Yu Serizawa said about the second season, ‘I thought that this series needs to be seen until the end, so I am really happy about the second season! Please watch over Iroha until the end. Thank you!!’
Hikari’s voice actor Teppei Uenishi said, ‘I am filled with happiness that I get to voice Tsuttsun longer! Please watch over Iroha and Tsuttsun and everybody else in this story until the end!’
Shota Aoi, who voices a friend of Tsutsui’s character, said, ‘I am very happy that everybody gets to see what will happen with the guys and girls in the story from here on. Ishino-san, Takanashi-kun, Ayado-san and Ito. They, as well as Tsutsui and Iroha-chan and of course all the other characters surrounding them, will get to shine once again! The second season of 3D Kanojo will also air on AnichU starting January 2019. On 14 September 2018, a live action adaptation of the series with Ayami Nakajo and Hayato Sano will come into Japanese cinemas.
