Detective Conan will solve his next case in the 22nd movie, Zero no Shikkounin (The Zero Executor)! The movie has revealed that popular Japanese actress Aya Ueto and Japanese comedian Daikichi Hakata will make guest appearances. Ueto will actually be returning to the series after 12 years, as she made a cameo appearance as herself in the 10-year anniversary special. The anime movie will start screening on 13 April 2018 in Japanese cinemas.
In this movie, our smart hero Conan will directly collide with the Police during a bombing incident at the Tokyo Summit venue. Continuing after the 20th movie Detective Conan: The Darkest Nightmare, the main character for this story will be Tooru Amuro, who is a mysterious man working as a private detective as well as for the Black Organization.
Ueto will play Kogoro Mori’s spectacled lawyer Keiko Tachibana, who ends up becoming a suspect in this movie. She is an important figure, as she is often involved with Conan and the Mori family. She is a smart lawyer who often covers public safety cases. Hakata’s character, Fumikazu Haba, is a law student who was working at the same law firm as Ueto’s character and was aiming to become a prosecutor. Due to a certain accident, he lost his life.
Ueto said about her recent guest role, ‘Conan is often said to be a national idol, and he really is very popular! I also have the impression that his movies always land in first place in the charts. It is a real honor that I am able to participate in this movie.’ She added, ‘My character seems unreliable at first glance, but there is only one truth! Please leave it to me!’
Hakat, on the other hand,d said about his character, who is said to be dead already, ‘Before this, I got to voice a ghost character for a different work. I thought I was finally being promoted to play human characters, only to find out that he is already dead… I was surprised, but I will do my best.’
Let’s look forward to how the two characters will interact with Conan and Amuro!
