It’s eight days since the Ordinal Scale event at the new national stadium. Asuna has regained her memories of the SAO period that she had lost and is living peacefully. But in Kirito’s chest there are still two thorns stuck. One is about Eichi, the one who co-operated with Professor Shigemura’s plan. The other one is Yuna Shigemura, who lost her life in the ‘SAO incident’ and who has the exact same face as the AR idol ‘Black Yuna’.
But Kirito has finally decided to retire from Ordinal Scale. While he is processing the data, a new message arrives. It was an announcement from Yuna’s desktop application. Kirito reflexively had installed it, but when he was saying his good-bye to the AR idol, suddenly:
Kirito, help me.
Unexplainable as it was, they were Yuna’s words. Was this a stunt from the application, or…? In order to confirm the truth, Kirito goes to meet one certain man.
