Introduction

Fist of the Blue Sky is a story about Kenshiro Kasumi, who is called the most unrestrained and strongest successor of ‘God Fist of the North Star’ (Hokuto Shinken), which has a history of about 1800 years. This Fist of the Blue Sky, formerly supervised by original author Tetsuo Hara, will celebrate its comeback as TV anime. Adaptation

Fist of the Blue Sky (Souten no Ken) was a prequel manga to the world-famous Fist of the North Star (Hokuto no Ken) by Tetsuo Hara, with plot supervision by Buronson. Published from 2001 – 2010, it was a big hit and even got a 26-episode anime season in 2006-2007.

The sequel to Fist of the Blue Sky, titled Fist of the Blue Sky Re:Genesis, will begin running in the December issue of Monthly Comic Zenon, which goes on sale today, 25 October.

Kenshiro Kasumi

Voiced by: Koichi Yamadera

He is the 62nd successor of the ‘God Fist of the North Star’ (Hokuto Shinken). In Shanghai he is feared and known as ‘Yan Wang’ (King of Darkness). Kenshiro is extraordinarily strong and has got a big body. He is living a live of endless battles due to him being a successor to the Hokuto Shinken.

Erika Arendt

Voiced by: Sumire Uesaka

Erika has used to photographic memory to memorize ‘The List of Hope’, which is a catalogue of hidden valuable artwork. Her family that was entrusted with the catalog was killed, with Erika as the sole survivor. Under the protection of Ryu Hien (Liu Fei Yan) she has learned how to smile again.

Pan Yu Ling (Han Gyokurei)

Voiced by: Yumi Toma

She is Pan Guang Lin’s sister and Kenshiro’s wife. As Pan Guang Lin is her brother, she is following a harsh fate. She becomes the leader of ‘Qing Bang’. Pan Yu Ling (Han Gyokurei) is kindhearted and affectionate.

Liu Fei Yan (Ryu Hien)

Voiced by: Takehito Koyasu

Liu Fei Yan is a student of ‘Kyokujuuji Seiken’ (‘Pole Cross Sacred Fist’ style, which is a style that separated form Hokuto Shinken. His nickname is ‘Si Niao Gui’ (Death Bird Demon). Ryu Hien was touched by Erika’s warmth and decided to protect her with his life.
