One day, a freedom-loving high schooler named Fudo Nomura transfers to Aichi Symbiosis Academy.
However, shockingly, there was an unrelenting domination of male students by the powerful girls who are armed in the name of self-defense.
All the male students there are forced to throw away their masculinity in order to live together with the girls there.
On the first day, Onigawara, the master swordsman of the Kajima shindenjiki shinkage style and one of the Tenka Goken members picks a fight against Nomura as her new target in the name of ‘reform’, but….
We must keep a good eye on the fate of the freedom-seeking Nomura who fights against the powerful armed girls just with his bare hands.

Armed Girl’s Machiavellism  is based on a manga series written by Yuya Kurokami and illustrated by Karuna Kanzaki. The manga is serialized in Kadokawa’s Monthly Shonen Ace and there are six volumes available.

Voices From the Fans

I chose Busou Shoujo Machiavellism because it’s interesting and fulfills all my tastes.

I love anime based on a high school setting. Busou Shoujo Machiavellism portrays high school, a bit of ecchi, and a deep storyline of love. I found it very intriguing and exciting to watch.

Episode 1: The Magnificent Blade, Rin Onigawara
Episode 2: The Chastity Dorm Riot

Not only did Nomura win the battle that should ‘correct’ him but he also stole a kiss from Rin, so the girls at school are enraged. Among them are Rin’s junior, Nono Mozunono, and Chouka U Baragasaki, a girl who takes pride in the fact that she will become one of the Supreme Five Swords one day. They both burn with hatred for Nomura. But Nomura is someone who goes wherever the wind leads him. To get a permit to leave the school, he visits Rin at the girls’ dorm, because she has been absent from school since the day of their battle.

Episode 3: The Fair Sword, Mary Kikakujo

Because of the chaos that Nomura caused at the girl’s dorm, he is supposed to be supervised by Rin. But Mary Kikakujo, one of the Supreme Five Swords, sets her mind on correcting Nomura’s behavior next. She and Rin start to argue about how to treat Nomura. When Nomura leaves Rin’s side, he is challenged by Choka, and while fleeing her, he encounters Kirukiru Amo. She’s a girl who has transferred schools and steps in front of him to stop Rin and Mary with her overwhelming strength. Her fiendishness awakens something in Nomura’s heart.

Episode 4: The Warabinpics are Starting!

Thanks to recent developments, Nomura isn’t only being watched by Rin, but also by Mary. Well, ‘being watched’ might be the wrong word, as from afar the three of them seem quite cozy. Coming back from Hawaii and seeing them like that is Warabi Hanasaka, the oldest of the Supreme Five Swords, forcing them to participate in the blood festival ‘Warabimpics’. The first round is Sumo. Of course, not just Nomura, but Rin and Mary also have to participate.

Episode 5: The Love-Crazed Blade, Warabi Hanasaka

Thanks to Nomura’s efforts, the Warabimpics have ended well. But Warabi isn’t someone to give up so easily. She sets up a trap, inviting Nomura to come to the school to get his permission stamp from as a reward for his victory. But on his way, he faces WRB34 (Warabi thirty-four). With the help of Rin, Mary, Nono and Choka, Nomura manages to advance. That is until he meets one of the Supreme Five Swords, Satori Tamaba!

Episode 6: Notes on a Scandal

Nomura seems to have entered his popularity phase. Because of his great success at the Warabimbics, the girls of the school follow him with hungry eyes. Even though he spends his days as usual, even the slightest action from him is followed by a wave of cheers. Nomura himself doesn’t really think much of it, but Rin and Mary don’t think it’s funny. But the happy times can’t continue forever. One morning, while his bags get checked by Rin and Mary like always, ‘something’ falls out of his pocket…

Episode 7: The Dubious Sword, Satori Tamaba

Thanks to Satori’s tricks, Nomura’s reputation is on the ground. It was Warabi, who has had an eye on him since the Warabimpics, who trapped him inside the punishment room when Rin and Mary were out of sight. Only through acquiring Satori’s pictures can Nomura prove his innocence. Thinking like that, Nomura starts to attack Warabi as well as Satori in a public bath for ladies. Nomura is pretty disturbed by the fact that Satori isn’t wearing any clothes. She still attacks him without any regard for his feelings. That’s just the kind of monster she is.

Episode 8: His Crossdressing Her Circumstances

When Nomura opened his eyes, he was in the infirmary. After the battle with Satori, Warabi passed out and was brought in as well. Rin and Mary know nothing about Warabi and are concerned about Nomura and want to visit him, running into each other on the way. And while both of them forget what they were originally about to do, they start a strange fight.
Meanwhile, Warabi faces a different problem in the infirmary.

Episode 9: The Day Love Died

This morning was Nomura’s worst so far. He woke up from a nightmare filled with his past, clouded memories colored in the red of blood. However, his attention was soon grabbed by the uproar happening in the dormitory, caused by those who wouldn’t understand in what kind of state he is in. Apparently, a monster is in their bathroom.
Meanwhile in the girls dorm, they have to deal with other problems, because things keep disappearing, which shouldn’t. And then the empress, Kirukiru Amo, disappears as well…

Episode 10: The Terrifying Blade, Tsukuyo Inaba

Tsukuyo Inaba is one of the Heavenly Five swords with extraordinary skills. She fights using Yakumaru Jiken-ryuu. Facing her god-like speed, even Nomura can’t help but be surprised, as he realizes that her skill is far above his own. But their talks are interrupted when they hear sounds of a fight coming from the rooftop of the school. Nomura and Tsukuyo head there to see what is going on. But when they arrive, the Empress has already disappeared…

Episode 11: The Magic Bullet I’ll Always Remember

Nomura shouts with anger. Amo answers with a scream of her own. Both of their screams, echo over the school grounds. Nomura’s first impression when he met her at this school was right. Empress Amo was the person he once thought to be a friend, but now only feels deep hatred for after being betrayed and having fought her. Amo also thinks the same. The bitterness from their old days is rising, now is the time for the re-match. The defense can’t be kept up forever and Nomura attacks Amo with his magic bullet. But will it hit her?

Voiced by: Yuki Takada

Swordsmanship Style: ‘Kashima Shinden Jikishinkage-ryuu’
She is one of the group of five swordswomen known as ‘Tenkagoken’ (Supreme Five Swords) that control Aichi Kyousei Academy. She always wears the mask of a daemon and is a classmate of Nomura. From the first day on, she tries to ‘purge’ him.

Her catchphrase is: ‘Umashikamono!’ (Idiot!)

Fudou Nomura

Voiced by: Tasuku Hatanaka

Because he got into a fight at school and wants to correct his behavior, he transferred to Aichi Kyousei Academy. He has a loose mouth. It looks like he has the body and heart of a martial arts fighter!

Mary Kikakujo

Voiced by: Sayaka Kitahara

Swordsmanship Style: ‘Fencing’
One of the Tenkagoken. Instead of a rapier she is more comfortable with a foil. She was raised in France so when she gets angry, she looses her Japanese and thus never lets go of the dictionary.

Her catchphrase is: ‘That was to die for, right?’

Satori Tamara

Voiced by: Nozomi Nishida

Swordsmanship Style: ‘Shintou Munen-ryuu’
One of the Tenkagoken. She seems to have ‘the eye’ to see into another persons heart. She’s a girl you can’t win against. She lengthens the last words of her sentences.
