Dimension W – Episode 06 Review
This round marks the beginning of a new chapter. You will see new characters from foreign countries. This
Episode turns out to be a preliminary round sprinkled with multiple sub plots which allude to a succeeding story development.
Synopsis: Episode 6
Wind of Africa – that is the nickname of the COO of the Central 60’s, as well as the Prince of Islero, a small country in Africa. His name is Prince Salva Enna Tibesti. He pays a formal visit to Japan.
His younger brother, prince Lwai Aura Tibesti, is also visiting Japan at the same time. Unfortunately he goes missing. His disappearance is actually intentional. Lwai plans it because he wants to see Japan with his identity concealed.
Kyoma runs into Lwai’s bodyguards who are in search of the missing prince.
Preliminary for the New Storyline
There are many side plots prepared for the succeeding story development. I’ve organized some of them so let’s review them together.
- New characters
Wind of Africa, a.k.a. Prince Salva, and, his younger brother prince Lwai, made a first appearance.
Prince Lwai sets out to Tokyo sightseeing on his own under disguise. By chance, he runs into Kyoma. They become good friends in the beginning, but later in the episode, their friendly relationship turns to a hostile one.
- Synthetic Body
Later in the show, Kyoma mentions that Lwai has a fake body, which suggests his speculation on the Lwai’s prosthetic body parts. Also, there is a scene showing TV news which report about a lift on 60% maximum restriction on artificial body parts. It connotes that the prosthetic body has much to do with the main theme of the subsequent storyline.
- Mysteries of Mira’s Prosthetic Body
Mary and Koorogi investigate the body of Mira in order to figure out the reason why Dr. Yurisaki had created Mira in the first place. Even a genius hacker like Koorogi struggles with this investigation. One, the tail. Why is it there, what does it do? Two, the perfect and organic brain just like the one of humans. The very existence of Mira is a big theme of this animated cartoon.
- Kyoma’s Past
Some of the scenes touches on Kyoma’s past. We learned that Kyoma has a sister-in-law of the same age, and her name is Tsubaki. During the conversation between Kyoma and Tsubaki, we also learned about another woman in his life, called Miyabi.
The relationship between Kyoma and this Miyabi lady remain untold. However, the story alludes to something that happened five years ago, which traumatized Kyoma and triggered him to want to amend in some format.
- What Does Salva Want?
It appears that a hidden agenda of Salva’s Japan visit is to obtain an inheritance of Dr. Yurisaki. Also, he plans to bring all of the coil collectors to Easter Island. The reason for this action remains mysterious. Salva sends Lwai to Mary’s place. Lwai, as soon as he arrives, knocks off Mary’s bodyguard android, Four, in one blow, and leaves a letter behind. The letter demands all the collectors to gather in the Easter Island within seven days.
- Kyoma’s Flashback
In the very last scene, a mysterious girl appears in pouring rain. Between an obstacle and the wall, she asks for help. I bet this scene hints some lead to Kyoma’s past incident.
How did you enjoy the show?
I look forward to the future story development!
