Synopsis: Episode 12
The recollections of Migiwa and Reoko in early days. They look like in high school age. Reoko unearthed the Buranki Entei, because she wanted to share with the world how the adults had been concealed the truth of history. On the other hand, Migiwa wanted to stop Reoko’s advance and torched Entei’s hands, legs, then, shuttered the hearts.
For eight years after that, Reoko was convicted and imprisoned. Additionally, her body stopped growing at age 16, as a result of a rejuvenation attempt using Entei’s power.
Eight more years later, Migiwa suddenly announced her plan to relocate to the Treasure Island. She delegated everything related to earth in the hands of Reoko, and left the earth. This was a huge turning point, as the world quickly devastated. Reoko rejected to see and wait any longer, and seized the power to control Japan from behind the scenes.
Fast forward to now, on the Treasure Island. Migiwa is trapped in the hands of Entei. Heat from the hand starts burning Migiwa’s arms and legs. But, Migiwa breaks free of the Entei’s capture.
The Treasure Island starts descending. The government body on the earth side decided to shutter the Treasure Island in pieces before it plummets and crashes on the surface of the earth. A nuclear bomb is launched targeting the island, but, Migiwa stands up for the challenge. She successfully prevents the disaster, but she get hit by the after wave of the explosion and is thrown into midair.
Meanwhile Azuma’s team and Entei’s team are fighting against each other for their own cause and emotions. Both teams try to save the island from falling. Ultimately, the Treasure Island fell into ocean, but, it didn’t crash on lands, so, no harm was done.
Highlights – Migiwa and Reoko’s past
Ah the memoirs – we now know why and how Reoko encountered her Buranki, Entei. She just wanted to undiscover the hidden truth of the history. Additionally, Reoko was sentenced to live a few more years. To save her from dying, Migiwa used Entei’s power to change Reoko to an immortal being. As a part of her plan, Migiwa locked up Reoko for eight years. All was planned for Reoko’s best interest, but, nobody said it’s easy. The pain and frustration from the eight years of prison life led Reoko to hold deep grudge against Migiwa.
Looking back, I can’t help but feel the teenager version of Reoko and her Entei team’s attitude to the worlds’ problem hopelessly reckless and stupid. Change the world, ah please, it overlaps with the kids team, Azuma and his party. I’m just saying.
And who knows? Migiwa cares about Reoko so much that she would change her life? They were bestie? That’s kind of surprising.
Well, how did you enjoy the final episode of Bubuki Buranki
It’s unusual to bring up a new character at the last episode of a season, well, I dare say that the new character, along with many hints embedded throughout the story this time, are suggesting new story development in the sequel. The production of the second series has been confirmed, so, let’s keep our hopes up, yeah?
