Assassination Classroom Season 2 – #01
- Summary of the 1st episode
KONNICHIWA! Emi here!
The second season of Assassination Classroom is released!
The first season was based on the spring semester, april to the end of summer vacation, and now the second semester has finally begun. The first episode of the second season begins on the last day of summer break right before the second semester starts.
Summary of episode 1
This episode is about the students, who won the battle with Takaoka in the southern island, and Koro-sensei, who plans to form couples through ‘Kimodameshi (a test of courage)’! Though, everyone from class ‘E’ seems to be more focused in bringing Irina and Karasuma together!? How would things go!?
Not to mention, summer break is finally coming to an end, and students are having differents thoughts about the second semester as well as the mysterious guy in the shadows….
There are two highlights to note about in this episode.
The first highlight is that the assassination skills of the students in class ‘E’ have improved and they have used their skills for something not assassination related (in a good way). On the last day of the summer break, Koro-sensei had gathered students from class ‘E’ for a summer festival.
During the festival, the students got the chance to use the assassination skills they have learned. Especially in the scene where they earned a lot from the night stalls such as through the shooting game, which is just too easy for the students so they ended up winning all the prizes, and through the goldfish scooping, where the methods of the game are very similar to slicing with a knife so the students ended up catching an extreme amount of goldfish.
Those scenes combine humor with assassination techniques and we can also see how the students have actually grown.
The second highlight that I want to point out is the increased bounty on Koro-sensei. During a meeting of the Ministry of Defense officials, they announced that if one was able to kill Koro-sensei as a group, then they will be awarded with an extra 30 billion yen. There is no change to the rule if an individual is able to kill Koro-sensei. He or she will still be rewarded with 10 billion yen. The reason why this new rule is being added is because it is seen that killing Koro-sensei as a group is more effective.
Now, the second episode is going to be about the beginning of the second semester. How tough will the second semester become? I am really looking forward to the next episode!
