AOKANA -Four Rhythm Across the Blue- – #02
KONNICHIWA! Emi Again!
Asuka ends up fighting Sato-in from the well-known FC Club, Takafuji Gakuen. Not really confident of being able to fly, Asuka makes her first experience with the FC. She with her personality to never give up, gets a point in the match. Is it all because of luck or does she actually have potential for this sport? I don’t know.
Without any further ado, let me introduce you to the highlights in Episode 2.
Summary of Episode 2
After the first match, Madoka Aoyagi, the manager of Kunahama’s FC Club, invites her to join the club. Asuka accepts the offer. Following Asukas decision, Misaki and the freshman Mashiro Arisaki, who worships Misaki, join the club as well. Masaya, who looked at the situation with mixed feelings first, ends up helping Asuka and Misaki with their second practice match.
1st Highlight Newcomers in the FC Club
Under the persuasion of Madoka, Asuka, Misaki and Mashiro decide to join the FC Club. In order to get the equipments ready, all of them go to the sport equipment store together during the weekend.
Here are some small tips on Grav-Shoes!
There are three types of Grav-Shoes used in matches.
1. Speedy Type
2. Fighter Type
3. All round type
- Speeder means a player that wins a match with his/her speed. The player is in general good at increasing its agility and win points by touching the Buoy. Speeders are generally not good at suddenly changing directions.
- Fighter is a player that specializes in dog fights. They are generally good at close-combats. They get close to the other players and win points by touching the opponent’s back.
- Last but not least, the All Rounder is a balanced player that is fast like a Speeder but also strong in combat like a Fighter.
The Grav-shoes are specially set depending on which type the player is.
For your reference, beginners are recommended to be an all rounder.
2nd Highlight Masaya, who keeps a distance from FC
In this episode, Masaya really gets my attention. Masaya is familiarized with the FC but why did he chose to keep a distance to it? I think something happened in the past what keeps him away from the FC.
Anyhow, the FC Club in Kunahama High School has begun its practices. Asuka, losing against Misaki during the practice match, wants to become stronger and asks Masaya to become her coach.
Thanks to Asuka’s personality, Masaya promises to be her coach until the Summer Match. What happened to Masaya in the past remains unknown but the impression Masaya puts on when he decides to help Asuka in FC gives me an impression that he is relieved.
In the next episode,Kunahama will go on a joint training camp with Takafuji Gakuen. What sort of match will it be? I am looking forward to the next episode!
