Hey guys! This week’s episode starts off with several new characters. The American Tattoo Force is on a mission to ambush Princess Aryahabata at the Japanese tattoo ruins with all twenty sealed tattoos. The newest addition to our forces include Brigadier General Sanders (Colonel Sanders), Second Lieutenant Wang, Major Leonardo Burns, and Captain Johnson.
As our team heads into battle, the Wiseman alerts B.B. that the American forces are on their way towards Princess Aryahabata at the ruins. B.B. is upset because both of them know that the American forces are no match for the Princess’s Brahman. B.B. is in the middle of a tattoo modification and struggles to maintain his patience in order to complete his procedure when all he wants to do is rescue Izzy from potential harm.
Back at the battle, Captain Johnson is the first to be deployed into the fight against Princess Aryahabata’s Vice Captain Brahman, Cal Shekhar, and her deadly maids. Before Johnson can even get close, Cal chops him into pieces. While Cal is busy decimating the American forces left and right, Princess Aryabhata takes over Iltutmish’s powers to prevent Touko from drawing off of any excess powers that Iltutmish gives off.
The maids make use of the noise canceller and slaughter any forces that Cal hasn’t already wiped out. Seigi on the other hand, ignores Cal and trusts his heroic instincts that B.B. has taught him by heading straight for Princess Aryahabata. But before he can make it, Cal catches up with him and slices his tendons so that movement is impossible.
Next up, Iltutmish makes an appearance in her unleashed source form and wrecks havoc on all air forces. She brings down the helicopter that Colonel Sanders and Touko are in, forcing the General into battle with Cal. However, the General is not alone, as he hands off Touko to Major Burns and teams up with Izzy to take out Cal. Once Iltutmish has completed her task, the Princess releases her from her control and starts to head out to the battle field.
Cal quickly and brutally disables Colonel Sanders by taking out an arm, a leg, and his eyes, leaving Izzy to fend for herself. Just as Izzy is about to die, B.B. makes a sudden appearance to her defense and Cal reveals that luring out B.B. was the plan all along.
Princess Aryabhata locates Seigi on the battlefield and tells him that he is a “key” and that she purposely leaked info to the American forces to lure Seigi and B.B. out. Her big plans for them both are to be revealed in next week’s episode.
Sexuality- Princess Aryahbata asks one of the maids if Blood and Colonel Sanders were lovers, who would be the uke, to which she answers Blood. The Princess is so delighted with this answer that she fondles the maid’s breasts.
Uke: I’m sure that you are wondering what an uke is; It comes from the Japanese verb ukeru (receive). It’s used in anime/manga and fanfiction for the “bottom” or “passive” in a yaoi/shounen-ai (male/male) relationship.
Heroism- Seigi remembers his hero training with B.B. and purposefully goes straight for the head boss of operations: Princess Aryabhata. Along the way though, he is quickly rendered incapable of fighting and we do not get a chance to witness the fighting tactics that Blood has taught Seigi.
Justice- B.B. informs Cal as he engages her in battle that he will avenge all of his fallen comrades and war buddies as an act of personal justice.
This episode was jam-packed full of action, though it was a bit confusing at points. For example, it’s still unclear when Seigi got involved in a American Tattoo Retrieval mission after being so hell-bent on carrying out his form of justice. Suddenly, he feels indebted to serve them on a life and death mission. However, the plot did follow along with B.B. and Izzy’s past romantic relationship, since the majority of the episode was focused on drawing out B.B. by putting Izzy in danger.
My only qualm with this episode included Seigi’s immediate defeat by Cal. After he had what seemed like such in-depth training in the previous episode, he gets defeated before we get a chance to see if he has mastered his new micro void-making technique that Blood taught him. After so much build up of Seigi’s supposed importance, it is a tad frustrating seeing him taken out so quickly, though it is a bit more realistic than those undefeatable heroes from other anime. I am hopeful that by the next episode we will get to see Seigi use some of his new-found powers as he works alongside Blood who has his exact same Seal. It is also exciting to see what Blood’s new modification will do for team America. Though Blood has no confirmed position for America or the Kingdom, he still has familiar comrades from the American forces he wishes to defend.
